Summer Camp Nurse Girl Scout resident camp near Bear Mountain in NY's Palisades Interstate Park seeks camp nurse. Ideal position for school RN looking for summer employment. Tend to campers and staff including, but not limited to: administration of daily medication; evaluation, diagnosis and care in advanced first aid situations; be prepared for emergencies related to sports, outdoor and aquatic activities. Periodically, "walk through" camp and evaluate potential safety hazards in living, food service and program areas and relay to camp director/administrator. Contract is for 8 weeks, mid-salary range is $100.00 per diem negotiable based on experience and credentials. Require valid NYS nursing license, RN preferred, American Red Cross CPR or Basic Life Support. Housing, all meals, some medical benefits are included in compensation for contracted employees. This camp is guided by Girl Scouts of the USA Safety-wise, and has been accredited by the American Camping Association and licensed by the NY Board of Health every year of operation. 100% of general staff receive comprehensive camp training and are certified in ARC standard first aid and CPR or more specialized certification.
