Nurse for High School Health Center

The Oakland Technical High School Health Center in Oakland is looking for a registered nurse to work during school hours (8:30 to 3:30) to provide first aid, triage, urgent care, health education and case management services to adolescents. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work with teens in the Oakland community as an integral member of a small, committed team that includes medical backup, a nurse practitioner and a physician, plus mental health clinicians and health educators. 

The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about working with teens from diverse backgrounds, who is committed to youth development and empowerment and who has strong communication and clinical skills. This position is ideal for someone who wants to work during school hours and have summers off. 

The Oakland Technical Health Center is a program of La Clinica de La Raza. Oakland Unified School District and Alameda County Health Services. Salary starts at $21 an hour and included medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
