Clara Bow

Back

There isn't much Clara Bow on You Tube. Just doing my part.
At 1:54 it looks like she breaks the 4th wall. Anyone know if that was ever done before this?

Clara was the most vivacious, alive, beautiful, sparkling light to come out of that era. Her smile was devastating. Her beauty was way beyond the plastic video girls of today. She was positively gorgeous! Period! And with very few rivals, then or now. I only wish all her films had survived, intact to be loved by yet another generation.

Yep. Possibly the most beautiful woman ever to be captured on film, and when they invent time-machines, I'm definetly gonna pop back and give her my mobile phone number

I dont think so...I think it was perhaps the fact that she was so successfull that tabloids felt a need to cut her down.

it wasn't that she was so wild and scandalous -its just that she was a woman who lived and behaved more like a man. She rocked!

That's funny - Siouxie - I'm reading the same book right now also. She had a very sad life. And she looks so alive and vibrant in these clips.

only to the age of 28, the minute she left film, she bacame a very different person, had two children was only married once and all the photos of her in later years she looked as lovely as ever -only in 1947 did she step out for a radio broadcast -as a mrs. Hush -each week she gave the clues and the whole nation was involved until it was discovered C lara Bow was the mystery guest

Clara Bow - what a beautifully expressive face. Currently reading "Running Wild" by David Stenn. She really had a terribly tragic life. Still, we can be thankful for these wonderful clips to remember her by.
Clara, please know that Brooklyn still holds you dear as one of our own.

at 0:41 she really reminds me of sarah michelle gellar.
