professorenigma: No No. You made the ludicrous statement. Don't look at me to disprove your nonsense re the corrupted 47 million figure.

professorenigma: Frankly I am unconcerned by your derisions. With such weak arguments, you have to resort to lieing, and you're not a very good liar.

professorenigma: Rubbish. Believe your own propaganda if you want, but from my own experience while visiting Toledo, a store clerk looked depressed and when I enquired, she told me her HMO had denied coverage to her son for treatment. I found this woman only hours after entering the US.
Now if you listen to Lou Dobbs and never talk to anyone, I suppose you might believe what you say. HMO's deny coverage all the time, and whistleblowers are on record to prove it.

professorenigma: Wow. You even have the arrogance to lie to me about my own system. That really takes balls.
You say things but you don't put it in context. Waitimg times are longer. Sounds like a Tide commerical. "Our product is 50% better" "Our car polish gives you a better shine"
You persistently make blanket statements such as your reference that 47 million figure is corrupt, BUT you refuse to quantify your entry with percentages, presumably because that would kill your argument.

I just noticed you are from Canada and your country ranks among the lowest in the industrialized world for doctors per ten thousand people. Far more women in your country go without mammograms than they do here and despite your country markedly increasing health care spending; waiting times there continue to increase.

"It boggles the mind that people who would deny their neighbor a necessary medical treatment." It's against the law to deny anyone medical treatment whether they are a legal citizen or not, whether they have insurance or not. Nice straw man argument.

"The worst that can be said is that the budget fails to match actual costs." You're becoming a laughingstock. Look at why CT and WI scrapped their universal health care plans, it would've literally broke the state budget. In fact, the plan in CT was larger than the state budget.
"gladly spill billions for misguided war efforts." I see you're trying to get off the subject. I won't take the bait but I will say that entitlements eat up a much larger portion of the budget than the war in Iraq.

"Where are your percentages??" freewebs..com/professor_enigma/universalhealthcare..htm
I have plenty of figures and statistics; health care in the UK is indeed a train werck. Certainly haven't seen any hard data from you, I wonder how long that will take. All of your questions are answered at the URL I supplied. I wonder if you were upset when Michael Moore demonized some of those NON-PROFIT hospitals in Sicko.

You know little about UHC. The concept of 'going broke' doesn't apply. The struggle in UHC is always between gov't budgets and public services.
The worst that can be said is that the budget fails to match actual costs, but that is a far cry from 'going broke' in a free market sense.
It boggles the mind that people who would deny their neighbor a necessary medical treatment will at the same time gladly spill billions for misguided war efforts, with all its profiteering and corruption.

professorenigma: Where are your percentages?? Your research is full of holes because you simply don't know how many people 'choose' not to have health insurance, nor do you know how many illegals are included in the 47 million, if any.
And your view of mandates driving up prices is only correct in a flooded market, and is not the real issue here as HMO's have gained excessive profits. Your scenario would show HMO's struggling to exist, which is not even close.
